Pangkor Laut Island, a small privately owned island to the southwest of the main island, is the second largest of the nine islands that make up the Pangkor archipelago. The island is still accessible to those who would like to experience the ultimate in luxury and
tropical splendour in a world-class resort. Pangkor Laut Resort, an exclusive luxurious resort named after the island stands on the eastern side of the island. Part of the resort is nestled within the lush hillside while part of it extends over the water. Located on Emerald Bay, voted one of the world's best beaches. Pangkor Laut is renown for its white beaches and crystal clear waters. It has three main beaches, namely Emerald Bay which is ideal for swimming and sunbathing; Coral Beach, a heaven for scuba divers in search of colourful corals and underwater marine life and Royal Bay, for those who prefer sailing and windsurfing.
One sure sign of a good fishing spot is to look out for the anchovies. Where there are lots of them, there is certainly plenty of fish around for it is Mother Nature's rule that the big fishes feed on the smaller ones. One spot off the coast of Perak which teems with anchovies are the waters near Pulau Sembilan, a group of nine islands. It's about an hour and a half boat ride off the south-west of Pangkor. Naturally all these add up to make Pulau Sembilan something of an angler's paradise. A perfect spot to head to for those with fishing on their minds and also the most likely spot to land a whopper or two with every cast of the line. The lure of the island is not merely restricted to fishing alone but also for its beauty and natural splendour. In short, it makes an ideal retreat especially for urbanites and concrete jungle inhabitants looking for a getaway and retreat from the rat race of the city. With its white sandy beaches fronted by alluring emerald green waters, so clear you can see what is at the bottom, the temptation to take a plunge or just to lie on the sand for a tan, is irresistible. In fact, it is hard to ever think of leaving the place once you have set foot there.

made up of a group of nine islands and is a haven for fishermen. Getting there is easy as it is located just 90 minutes by boat from south-west Pangkor. For those who are thinking of fishing their vacation away, then get your gear and set a course for Pulau Sembilan.

Of course, don't think this is just an angler's hangout. It is also a wonderful island getaway that is absolutely beautiful. The waters here are so clear that you can actually see fish swimming around as you frolic in the surf. Now, that is really getting back to nature!
This island is an oval shaped, about one and a quarter miles in size, situated on the western Bank of Pangkor seperated by a 180 m waterway. One has to be careful as you may cross To this island during the low tides, but failed to return when high tides.
Giam Island is one of the 2 smaller islands fronting Nipah Bay (Teluk Nipah). The other neighboring island is Pulau Mentagor. Nipah Bay is about 10 minutes by taxi van ride from Pangkor Island Beach Resort. Giam Island is a fairly popular place to visit by kayaking from Nipah Bay. Rental of kayak is about RM10/hour and easily found along the beach at Nipah Bay. Renting a kayak for 1-2 hours is good enough to have some fun in the sun, get to the nice beach on Giam Island, and head back to Nipah Bay. The water surrounding the small island is quite crystal clear. Occasionally you may also see visitors having picnic on the island. There are one or two snorkeling spots on Giam Island, but I found the visibility is very poor.
